Here’s yet another story of the “hard fall” feature on an Apple Watch saving someone’s life!
28-year old James Prudenciano was hiking with his date in Hartshorne Woods Park in New Jersey and got lost in the woods. The couple fell onto a steep cliff and into a position where there were only rocks and a river below. The couple slid down the cliff and into the river, sustaining significant injuries. Prudenciano landed on a rock and suffered 3-fractures in his back.
“I was screaming that I’m going to die because I really felt I was going to die,” James Prudenciano said. “There was no way out of this for me. I literally said my last goodbyes.”
The Apple Watch on his wrist detected a hard fall and called 911. The couple was then rescued and transported to a local hospital.
