30-year old Tim Cameron from London lost his wallet on Monday while riding his bike home from work. Unfortunately for Tim, his wallet didn’t have much contact information.
A good samaritan named Simon Byford found the wallet but struggled to get in touch with Tim. There was no information to call or email and “Tim Cameron” is so common, it was practically impossible to find him on Facebook. Fortunately for Tim, Simon is a clever good samaritan.
Simon found Tim’s bank account number and decided to start sending him money transfers of £0.01. The transfers allow for 18-characters of text in the description, so Simon sent 4-transfers saying that he found Tim’s wallet and gave a call back number.
Tim rode his bike to Simon’s house and gave him a bottle of red wine as a thank you.
I just lost my wallet on the way home from work. I didn't have much identifying info in there so a good Samaritan got in touch with my via my… bank account
