According to TMZ, Eddie Van Halen has been traveling to Germany for the past five years to be treated for cancer. Eddie had tongue cancer in 2000, but was declared cancer-free in 2002. Sources are now saying that this time the cancer is in his throat.
In 2015, Eddie suggested metal guitar picks could have been responsible, saying quote, “I used metal picks, they’re brass and copper, which I always held in my mouth, in the exact place where I got the tongue cancer.”
He also admitted that he used to smoke and do drugs, but also said quote, “my lungs are totally clear.”
