The diagnosis is in and Saints Quarterback Drew Brees is expected to be out for 6-weeks after tearing a ligament in his thumb against a loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in Week 2 of the NFL regular season.
Dr. Steve Shin, a hand specialist in Los Angeles, indicated that Brees will need surgery. This time frame has Brees returning around November 10th versus the Atlanta Falcons.
