Lamson Park, home of the one the top-ranked softball programs in the country (Louisiana’s Ragin Cajun Softball) will host a three-game series with Team USA facing off against the Scrap Yard Fast Pitch – an independently-run professional team. Both teams have past Olympic medalists, numerous professional softball athletes, and rising stars.

UL assistant, Lacy Prejean, is really excited about getting to see some of the greats of the game on the Cajuns home field.
“This is an opportunity to see the best of the best.”
Prejean was speaking at the open ceremonies of the Pony Fast Pitch World Series Tuesday at Cajun Field. She told of how she went from rec ball, to playing in the WCWS, to coaching at one of the premier programs in the country.
