An online petition to change the date of Halloween has now gained over 100,000 signatures.
The Change.org petition has been going on since 2018, but has recently picked up steam. The idea is to move the date of Halloween from October 31st to the last Saturday of the month of October. Proponents cite safety concerns, passing the blame on cramming trick-or-treating into 2 hours on a weekday afternoon. Supporters say moving the event to Saturday every year would create a safer, longer, stress-free celebration.

It only takes 75,000 signatures to get the petition sent to the President. Snickers chimed in on Twitter.
