A measure that would include post-traumatic stress disorder as an injury eligible for benefits has been advanced by a Louisiana legislative committee on Thursday. Lawmakers recognized that early counseling and treatment leads to better management of the condition. The measure will now go to the House floor, it has already been passed in the Senate. June is PTSD awareness month.
