Digital Driver’s License App ‘LA Wallet’ Free Through May

Louisiana residents who want to carry their driver’s license ‘digitally’ can download the LA Wallet free through May.  The app was created in a 2016 state law by Rep. Ted James.

With the LA Wallet app, you can carry a digital version of your La. driver’s license instead of carrying your physical license.

It’s normally a $5.99 charge to activate, but the fee is removed for a limited time, in hopes to have more people use the app more!

The digital license is good for the life of the issuance, but when your physical  license expires, you will have to renew your license with the state and buy a new digital license.
