The 18-year-old Florida woman, who the FBI said earlier this week “made credible threats against Denver-area schools” just four days before the date marking the 20-th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting, has been found dead.
The woman was found Wednesday near Mount Evans in Clear Creek County, west of Denver, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The FBI announced her death in a tweet.
We can confirm that Sol Pais is deceased. We are grateful to everyone who submitted tips and to all our law enforcement partners for their efforts in keeping our community safe.

Schools in the Denver metro area were closed as a precaution against the threat.
