Today used to be National Pancake Day, but starting this year it’s “IHOP Free Pancake Day.” They launched the ‘day’ back in 2006, and they’re still offering the same deal – Show up between 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M., and you can get a free short stack.
There are two National Pancake Days a year, one in September, and one today 3/12.
The one today was invented by IHOP back in 2006. But this year they’ve decided to change the name, so now it’s called “IHOP Free Pancake Day.”
They’re still offering the same deal. You can show up at participating IHOP locations anytime between 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. and get a free short stack. That’s three pancakes, which normally runs about $5.
It’s also a fundraiser to help sick kids and eradicate cancer, so they always encourage people to donate some of the money they save.
A survey from the other Pancake Day back in September found only 7% of us don’t like pancakes. Our three favorite types are buttermilk, blueberry, and chocolate chip. Also, pancakes are our third-favorite breakfast food behind bacon and eggs.
