Get this!! New Orleans area marketing firm, Innovative Advertising discovered this week that king cake babies are not suitable for Facebook advertisements!
King Cake Snob is Innovative Advertising’s yearly competition that ranks king cakes from across the region. Part of their marketing plan was posting sponsored Facebook ads of king cake babies, which as we know, are part of the king cake tradition.
But, the babies wearing “nothing” led Facebook to block the ads. Facebook sent a denial notification to King Cake Snob reading, in part, “(t)his ad isn’t running because it includes an image or video depicting excessive skin or nudity.”
I think Facebook exec’s need to experience Mardi Gras this year, don’t ya think?
