According to police, the suspect entered the home at 2:30 am, took the keys, and left with the family’s Ford Explorer. The vehicle later showed up parked on the street near the home around 7:30 am with a breakfast burrito wrapper on the inside. Police say the local McDonald’s spotted the suspect on surveillance ordering the burrito around 5:30 am.
The owner of the home spoke of her disbelief.
“We were in shock,” Lauren Lee told WXYZ. “I’ve never heard of somebody stealing a car and bringing it back.”
