“Once Upon a Deadpool“ (PG-13) Trailer (Opened Wednesday)
Fred Savage joins Ryan Reynolds for a PG-13 version of “Deadpool 2”. They’ve cut out the R-rated profanity, graphic violence, and sexually explicit material so it’s, quote, “filtered through the prism of childlike innocence.”
But it still really pushes the edge.
The new scenes with Fred pay homage to his “Princess Bride” days, with the action repeatedly cutting back to the bedroom as Deadpool reads to him. Except in this case, Ryan’s kidnapped Fred and tied him to the bed to force him to listen to the story.

The [Eff] Cancer charity will get $1 of every ticket sold between now and Christmas. But in the spirit of the movie’s new rating, their F-bomb was temporarily changed to Fudge Cancer.
Clint Eastwood is hurting for cash and takes a driving job before he realizes he’s now a drug mule for a Mexican cartel. And he becomes their best runner, since no one suspects an old man of being a drug smuggler.
Bradley Cooper and Michael Pena are the DEA agents chasing him.
The rest of the cast includes Alison Eastwood as Clint’s long-neglected daughter, Taissa Farmiga as his granddaughter, Laurence Fishburne as the head of the DEA team hunting the cartel, and Andy Garcia as the cartel boss.
“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse“ (PG) Trailer
Shameik Moore plays Miles Morales, a kid who becomes the Spider-Man of his reality and then somehow crosses paths with more spider-heroes from other dimensions. Jake Johnson from “New Girl” is the Peter Parker Spider-Man who mentors him.
The other heroes include Hailee Steinfeld as Spider-Gwen, John Mulaney as the talking pig Spider-Ham, and Nicolas Cageas Spider-Man Noir, a darker version of Spidey in a hat whose costume is based on an old World War I airman’s uniform.
Spider-Man Noir is from a gritty universe where he’s lived through the Great Depression. So they wrote a lot of 1930s slang for him and had Nic Cage channel performances of Humphrey Bogart and James Cagney for his lines.
In fact, the writers had so much fun with it, they wrote a whole bunch of EXTRA lines just to get a kick out of hearing Nic Cage say weird phrases like “turtle-slapper” and “biscuit boxer” . . . even if most of them wouldn’t make the final cut of the movie.
“Mortal Engines“ (PG-13) Trailer
An apocalyptic movie set in a future where major cities are now armored vehicles and “London” is a predator that attacks the smaller cities for their resources. It stars a cast of mostly unknowns, with an Icelandic actress named Hera Hilmar as a girl trying to avenge her mother’s murder and Hugo Weaving as the bad guy.
