Saturday Night Live caused a little commotion in Acadiana, when they had a little ‘fun’ with Lafayette’s ‘AOC.’ Saturday Night, SNL unveiled a new skit titled “Bayou Benny’s Liberal Lagniappe.“
The Daily Advertiser was able to speak to AOC Community Media’s Executive Director Ed Bowie who said, “I woke up today to a frenzy of texts, phone calls, tags on Facebook, to congratulate AOC for the mention on Saturday Night Live.” “We are ecstatic over the publicity we are receiving. We hope this creates more awareness about what we do at AOC: to help members of our community share knowledge, information, opinions and more.”
