LSU Basketball player Wayde Sims was shot overnight in Baton Rouge.
According to published reports detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department are investigating a deadly shooting. The incident occurred on Harding near Southern University. Police say 20-year-old Wayde Sims was taken to an area hospital with an apparent gunshot wound.
Sims later died from his injury. Sims was a University High graduate and a member of the LSU basketball team listed as a junior on the team’s website.
