Friday morning inside The BIG Morning Show, Chris Logan and Ken Romero (who was filling in for Renee Revett) asked, Which Acadiana Restaurant do you miss the most?
Many calls and text came in via The BIG Talk and Text Line at 406-1021, and tons of comments were posted on our Facebook page, where we also asked the same question.
Some of the restaurants mentioned were Semolina’s, Viator’s, Western Sizzler, Catfish Shack, Cock of the Walk, and many more!
What was #1? First….Let’s get to the close 2nd…….Poncho’s Mexican Buffet!!
Remember when we wanted some more fajitas, wanted some Sopapilla’s…. all we had to do was RAISE THE FLAG!

When these restaurants were open here in Acadiana, the most popular item was “THE CAJUN BLAZE”
After all the calls, texts and Facebook posts, Burger Tyme, is the one acadiana restaurant we miss the most! The ‘Cajun Blaze,’ with the delicious grilled onions, cajun seasoning….aww man, we’re having a flash back right now. I also remember their ‘seasoned fries’ were also delicious!
In all the interaction, we also learned via our Facebook post, that PJ’s Grill in Crowley, has the closest taste to the cajun blaze. It was also mentioned, but not confirmed, that PJ’s purchased the cajun blaze recipe.
