Teachers will no longer grade homework in Lafayette Parish

With the scramble for Back-to-School there is one less thing to worry about, homework grades.

The Lafayette Parish School System voted Wednesday to no longer require teachers to grade homework assignments for students in second to 12th grade.

According to the The Daily Advertiser, the decision was part of the 2018-19 pupil progression plan.  Teachers will still have the opportunity to comment on a student’s homework.

Teachers and parents weighed in on both sides.
