The 57 year old St. Landry Parish vet assistant, Anthony Colligan, claimed his two million dollar Powerball prize July 11th. Colligan purchased his ticket for the June 23rd drawing at the 1 Stop in Grand Coteau.
1 Stop will receive a one time selling bonus of $20,000 for Colligan’s good luck and he gets to bring home $1,420,000 after state and federal tax withholdings.
The June 23 winning numbers were 16-29-43-45-56 and the Powerball was 25. Colligan’s numbers matched the five white balls drawn, but missed the Powerball number. His match-5 prize of $1 million was doubled because he added Power Play to his ticket.
