Parents behaving badly are being called out by a referee

Reported on ABC News this morning, one parent is taking steps to do his part to stop parents’ bad sportsmanship.

Brian Barlow, an Oklahoma father and soccer referee is calling out ill-behaving parents at their children’s sports events by offering to pay $100 for videos showing parents’ bad behavior on the sidelines and then post videos on Facebook.

Barlow created the #STOP Initiative and Offside on Facebook to recognize bad behavior from parents on sidelines at youth sports events.

This aggressive behavior between parents versus parents and parents versus referees has also resulted in a shortage of youth referees according to the New York Times.
