Long Time LUS and LUS Fiber Director, Terry Huval Retires

Wednesday was the last day for long-time LUS and LUS Fiber director Terry Huval, he retired after making his retirement plans public in April. Huval leaves the post after 23 years of dedicated service to Lafayette and its citizens.

Lafayette Mayor-President Joel Robideaux praised Huval’s career stating “Terry has been an outstanding leader across LCG and the utilities and telecommunications industries. He has been an expert and steady hand at the helm of the utility system and helped blaze the trail for the telecommunications system that has earned global acclaim.”

Having served four Mayor-Presidents, Huval’s tenure as Utilities Director is the longest in the history of LUS. “Lafayette is a better city because of Terry Huval’s service. His support and partnership throughout my administration has been invaluable,” said Robideaux. “I hope that all of Lafayette will join me in wishing Terry the very best in his retirement.” It will definitely give Terry more time for his other love in which is performing music.
