Keto, Gluten-Free Pizza Crust

The keto diet trend has hit our network of stations and this keto, gluten-free pizza crust is all the rage.  Who says you have to give up pizza when you’re on a diet?  Oh, and forget about almond flour or cauliflower crust… this crust is made with MEAT!

Our very own station creation.

That’s right.  Even if you’re not on a diet, you may want to try this protein-packed pizza crust anyways.  It’s been called one of the best pizzas we’ve ever had in our lives.  After all, it’s meat piled on top of meat with cheese… how could it be bad?  The super-savory, satisfying crust is made with ground chicken meat.  Here’s how:

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • Spread ground chicken on parchment paper (aluminum foil works as well) really thin.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes so that the chicken is hard and over-cooked.
  • Load it down with your favorite toppings.
  • Put it back in the over long enough to heat up your toppings and melt the cheese.

As long as you spread the chicken thin enough, it will actually hold up.  Just let it cool for a bit and you will actually be able to hold the slices like a regular pizza!  You can also mix in shredded mozzarella with the ground chicken, even spinach if you’re feeling inventive.  If you’re doing the keto diet, just use a basic tomato sauce with a low sugar content.  Try it out, you won’t be disappointed!
