“Caught a SHARK today in the GA cut. Just minutes from the Charenton boat landing. He was released safely back into the water.
Crazy to think we have sharks in the freshwater of the Atchafalya Basin!
Was caught on a jug line baited with cut mullet! We were trying for catfish”
Coty Duhon shared in one of the comments that “Bull sharks can adapt to fresh water, I tell people all the time to watch themselves on the sand bar in the lake. I’ve caught them there on jugs too.”
Coincidence that Shaq has been seen in Lafayette today, shark caught in Atchafalaya Basin by Charenton… Shark week hosted by Shaq starts tomorrow.
