Louisiana Athletics sign 2 year Agreement with CST

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics has announced to a two-year partnership with Cox Sports Television (CST) to televise Ragin’ Cajuns home events. In conjunction with Jumbo Sports Television, CST will broadcast 15 Louisiana home contests during the 2017-18 athletic season.

“We are extremely excited to announce our partnership with Cox Sports Television,” Louisiana Director of Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard said. “This partnership puts Ragin’ Cajuns athletics into households around the country and allows our fans, families and recruits to watch games nationwide. CST is a great platform to showcase our University and sports programs, and we look forward to a great partnership with them for years to come.”

“We are excited to enter into this partnership with the University of Louisiana,” stated CST Vice President Rod Mickler. “The Ragin Cajuns have one of the best fan bases in the country. We look forward to the opportunity to showcase their games across our entire network.”

The Ragin’ Cajuns women’s basketball team defeated McNeese in a memorable three-overtime contest 98-86 aired on CST to open the agreement. In total, two women’s basketball games, nine softball games and seven baseball games will be broadcast this year.

“I am enthusiastic about the impact this partnership will bring to local fans as well as the heightened, nationwide, exposure this will garner for Ragin’ Cajun Athletics,” said Julie Simon-Dronet, vice president for Cox in Acadiana.

For the first time ever, the 2018 Louisiana football spring game will be televised on April 21.

All games aired on Cox Sports Television will also be simulcast on ESPN3 outside of the CST viewing areas.
